WELCOME TO GILLIGCOACHES NET!

OUR MISSION

WELCOME to the Gillig Transit Coach / Pacific SchoolCoach Online Museum. Our mission is to preserve the history and legacy of the Gillig Transit Coach line of school buses, which were built from the late 1930s up to 1982. Additionally, our goal is to preserve the history and legacy of the "Pacific School Coach," which was built by Kenworth and Pacific Car and Foundry, and was produced from the early 1900s up to 1957.

GilligCoaches.NET is authored by Steve Rosenow, a lifelong fan of Gillig school buses who has owned several of them. I can be reached by using the "Contact" form located under the "About" tab.

WEBSITE NEWS

The Gillig Coach Historical Society and the Gillig Coach Club has sourced yet another Gillig, and this time, it's a case of "The Prodigal Son Has Returned!"

Through the generosity of Deven Weber, I have been able to source a Gillig that will become the "flagship" vehicle to advertise The Gillig Coach Club and all Gillig Coach Historical Society museum appearances. This Gillig hails out of Weed, California, and more information can be had by clicking up top under "Media" and then "Museum Roster."

The Gillig Coach Historical Society and the Gillig Coach Club has been revived! Longtime site archivist Tim Olsen and I, have sourced a 1968 Gillig C-190 in Spokane, Washington! We will extensively document our restoration of this coach, and it is one of the last few remaining Gilligs in Washington State! In addition, we are inviting all Gillig coach owners and enthusiasts to join our organization!

NEW LOOK

After ironing out a few bugs, the website has taken on a slightly different look. The darker background makes the text easier to read.

In addition, the "Emblems" page has been facelifted. It now features high-resolution Photoshop layer renderings of original Gillig emblems in an interactive slideshow.

The types of donations accepted will be monetary donations to help cover the cost of restoring these buses as well as the cost of operating and maintaining this website. We are also seeking donor buses to be included into our museum.
